LEAD PASTOR
Born and raised in Jesup, Georgia, Pastor Michael Horton began his ministry in his hometown in 1996. After pastoring churches in Georgia, his ministry continued in Saskatchewan, Canada followed by coastal Maine. Along with his wife of 33 years, Sherry Warren Horton, Pastor Michael’s ministry has included community outreach, radio ministry, and chaplaincy for various law enforcement and sporting organizations. The Hortons have served at the state level in both youth and women’s ministries. Pastor Michael holds a Master of Arts degree in Church Ministries from the Pentecostal Theological Seminary in Cleveland, Tennessee. The Hortons have two daughters, two sons-in-law, and six grandchildren.
Sanford Staff
Pastor Jeff joined Sanford Church in May 2022. He brings a wide range of ministry experience spanning over 30 years. He has served as a pastor in Lead, Associate, Youth and Worship ministry in Maine and Minnesota and has enjoyed bivocational and full time ministry. He is a graduate of North Central University. Jeff and his wife, Jamie have five grown children and five grandchildren.
Jamie became our Children’s Director in September of 2022 and combines her love of ministry, teaching, and event planning. Her passion is to share the love of Jesus with all kids and their families as they develop a relationship with Him. She is an Elementary Education graduate of Winona State University, MN, and has taught in the public schools, as a homeschooler, adults in a healthcare setting and all ages in ministry. She and husband, Pastor Jeff, have five grown children and five grandchildren.
